Architectural Concept and Design:

The Alon Building for High Tech houses the faculty of Computer Science and the faculty of Telecommunication. The 7 story building has an area of 7000 sq. m. It contains laboratories, office space, an auditorium, public space,and utility and mechanical rooms. The building is organized around a southern exposed atrium with a ceremonial stairway in its midst. It opens itself to the view and allows outside light to enter. The Alon Building for High Tech is the first building on the Ben Gurion University Campus and in Be’er Sheva City to use a suspended glass curtain wall as a climatic sun control.
